My weight lifting goals

I will start blogging about my diet & exercise progress. My plan is to strengthen my endurance and my muscle weight. All in preparation for my trip to Philippines this august or november.

Because I am going to join my cousins basketball/sports tournaments over there. My family in Philippines are very active in sports and I want to "keep up" with them because I want to enjoy my time there.
The weather in Philippines is very hot and very humid. Also, many places their have heavy air(meaning air pollution). Playing sports in that condition is very demanding on the body. Having good lungs and strength to endure will be my goal to have now before I get there .

  1. Kamusta, pare?! My family is from the PI too! Yup! Hahaha. Were you born there as well?? If yes, what part? Anyway.. I totally agree that the weather in the PI is hot and humid bro. It is definitely hard to breathe there compared to the States. It's a good call that your conditioning yourself to prepare for a basketball tournament there, which I think is awesome :D haha! Well, keep at it bro and I hope and look forward to you making good progress!

  2. I am also trying to get in shape, I think I will like reading your posts and relate to them. I can't imagine how hot it will be over there and I think you are smart for trying to get in shape. I am sure once you get over there you will lose a lot of weight also. Are you going to see your mom and dad, or is it just cousins and relatives? Playing basketball might also be a good thing to get warmed up. It sounds like your family might be really good at basketball. Good luck with your work out.

  3. whats up man? Iv'e been in the exercise/ Weight lifting program since freshman year of college. I played rugby down at Arizona State and we had to constantly lift weights and run almost 10 miles a week. I was all about eating right and taking the right supplements, also thinking about getting a personal trainer certificate. Keep up the hard work though it'll definitely pay off!

  5. I think that is really cool that you are getting in shape for the Philippines. I think that is smart that you are getting in shape for basketball. You will sweat a lot playing basketball. I am also starting to get in shape so in a way our blogs will complement each others. Do you do any free weights?
