This week has been going great! My body was strong starting last Sunday.
So last Monday I worked on my legs doing : squats, lunges, toe raises- all while carrying 25 pound dumbbells for an hour. Wednesday I did upper body pull-workouts: bicep curls, wide pulls with 25-pound dumbbells and pull ups. On Friday I will do push-workouts which are: push ups, shoulder dumbbell lifts- all with my 25 pound dumbbell. Then, basketball on Sat. and Sun.
I like working out. Even though I just need to work on my endurance and game on basketball, I love lifting weights. I feel healthy and strong after doing it. Plus, my cousins who live here in Seattle are very active and competitive. We always have "friendly" competitive matches. Whether it be basketball, football to arm-wrestling. I love it!=)
I'd like to encourage you to broaden your palate with the post. Consider making adjustments so that your blog is less like a personal diary and more like an opportunity to help others who wish to improve themselves as well. Remember, this is being read by many people not just your classmates. And so what can you get that audience? Also, it's always a good idea to respond to the people who comment on your blog. Thanks for the post this week!
ReplyDeleteSo it appears that your making some good progress in conditioning yourself. Good for you bro! I too, love exercising and the results it can give. Many people like to supplement themselves to give them that extra push. I for one take natural supplements like vitamins and whey protein. Although, there are a lot of people I know that take supplements that aren't even approved by the FDA let alone unnatural. Despite the fact that they may give you quicker, maybe better results, they're all obviously still bad for your health. All at the cost of wanting to be more fit. What is your two cents about these supplements?
ReplyDeleteThats good your playing basketball. I think that in its self is a good work out. Do you play outside or in the gym? I used to play every morning before high school outside. I actually prefer playing outside, I could never get used to the echo in the gym. Maybe you should ask your family in the Philippines if they're going to play inside because the ball has a different bounce.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome, i've been trying to get into fitness and weight lifting too. Lunges kill me man, while I feel that things like squats (I "cheat" and use guided machines as opposed to free weights, when I buckle down and work with free weights doing lunges and squats it eats me alive. It is nice thought to see and feel changes, and the high after working out is one in a million. Keep up the good work friend, it'll pay off (at least that's what they say)
ReplyDeleteGood to hear your doing good with your progress! I forgot are you trying to get bigger? or are you just trying to tone up? Its cool that you are posting all of your workouts usually because I am trying to get bigger I like to lift semi- heavy weight with 10-12 reps and of course a bunch of supplements. I remember freshman year of college I couldn't get passed 155lbs. now I am 190lbs. so I think something is working lol keep up the good work though.
